Emergency First Aid, CPR, AED and Emergency Response Certification Courses in Cozumel, Mexico
Emergency First Aid and CPR
Emergency first aid is treating a victim of a medical emergency or critical injury until professional medical responders arrive or can render aid. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is the process of giving chest compressions to an unresponsive visit of a medical emergency to physically cause his or her heart to pump blood through the circulatory system, providing oxygen to vital organs and tissues and supporting life when the heart is not beating on its own.
Did you know that the standard emergency first aid response changed from “A -B – C” to “C – A – B” in 2010? Do you know what the new chest compression rate is and how to best stay on pace? Do you know what any of this means?
If you answered, “No” or “What?” to any of these questions, it’s time for you to get into a First Response Emergency First Aid and CPR certification class now! We’ll teach you how to respond to medical emergencies and care for others while not putting yourself into danger or causing the victim further harm. We cover the essentials from scene assessment, basic general diagnosis, wound care, proper response to what goes into a proper first aid kit. You will “learn by doing” and practicing on our state of the art CPR mannequins and AED training simulators. When you’re done, you will have the First Response First Aid and CPR (with AED add-on) certification recognized around the world as well as the skill, confidence and knowledge to safely respond to most common accidents, critical medical emergencies and injuries no matter where you find yourself. This is important stuff…
The life you learn to save may be your own or that of a loved one.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
The National Institute on Health defines an AED as, “An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm. AEDs are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). SCA is a condition in which the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating.” Essentially AEDs make it possible for non-medical people to respond to a medical emergency where defibrillation is required and learning to use one (even a caveman could do it) should be a part of every emergency response plan – not just for divers! Triple Sail includes the AED module in all of it’s First Aid and CPR courses but we can provide this course as a stand alone certification, too, in the event you are already CPR / First Aid certified.
Emergency Care for Children w/AED module
Because children are important too (and often require a different first aid and medical emergency response than adults). This should be a requirement for all parents, child care professionals and anyone entrusted with working with children in any capacity.
PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider $90
During the response to almost any scuba diving related medical emergency it is critical to get the victim on 100% oxygen as quickly as possible. Every dive boat and dive site should have ready access to an emergency oxygen kit and every diver should know how and when to administer oxygen to a scuba diver experiencing a medical emergency. Do you?
PADI Rescue Diver $375
Our PADI Rescue Diver certification training clients all essentially tell us the same thing when they’ve finished – that learning to become a rescue diver is as transformative as it is challenging. They also say this Triple Sail course is FUN! The Rescue Diver course is the first diving certification in which scuba divers learn to start caring for their fellow dive buddies beyond pre-dive buddy checks and managing an underwater gear failure. Rescue divers learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of distressed divers and confidently respond to genuine medical emergencies should it become necessary.
Prepare to be someone’s hero – earn your PADI Rescue Diver certification next time you’re in Cozumel.
