Aries Burns – PADI IDC Staff Instructor

Aries Burns - PADI IDC Staff Instructor in Cozumel Mexico“My first thought after completing my first Open Water dive almost ten years ago was, “I finally know what I want to be when I grow up!” My second thought – “I can’t believe my guidance counselor didn’t tell me I could do this for a living!” But I can, and have been doing this for almost five years. I have held a multitude of job titles after serving 4 years as a TAC-P member in the USAF. Driver/laborer delivering roofing supplies, roofer, bartender, restaurant manager, “Pre-owned auto sales consultant”, mortgage consultant, and bank analyst are some of my previous job titles held, but being a PADI IDC Staff Instructor is without a Aries Burns is a PADI Elite Instructor in Cozumeldoubt the most rewarding! I have extensive training and can teach a variety of different courses and specialties. I combine that with my interests in fish identification, environmental conditions, and equipment service/repair to keep teaching fun and innovative. I have the heart of a teacher, a love of diving, and a constant hunger for more knowledge that I can’t wait to share with you!”

L. Scott Harrell – PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer

L Scott Harrell - PADI Scuba Instructor“I first became a NAUI scuba instructor in 1995, teaching nights and weekends in Pensacola, Florida while managing a private investigations agency and an online training business. I sold my online business in 2012 and effectively retired to pursue my passion for teaching scuba diving to others full time and HAVING FUN DOING IT! I ‘crossed over’ to become a PADI instructor soon after while slow traveling with my family through Utila, Honduras and have gone on to teach scuba diving in other countries and Caribbean island nations like  Curacao, Aruba, Panama and others, before settling into our permanent home of Cozumel, Mexico. I absolutely love it here! The diving is SPECTACULAR in Cozumel and it’s an ideal location to learn to scuba dive or gain valuable new underwater experience and skills by advancing through new certifications and specialty courses. I strongly believe in continuing education and have progressed through several technical deep diving certifications as well as becoming a full cave diver. In 2012, I was acknowledged as one of the top 10 educators leading the fight against the invasive lionfish and served as the Executive Director of WLHA.org until June 2014. I would love the opportunity to introduce you to scuba diving in a relaxed, safe and fun environment or help take your diving to the next level!”
